My Ethics

My ethics are considered an important part of who I am and has largely shaped my personality and has brought a small following of others of all ages who follow similar philosophies and practices. These ethics have brought me good fortune and success in my life.

I have separated my ethics into three sets, dependent upon what aspect of my life they primarily reside to.

Personal Ethics

  • Peace. Love. Unity. Respect. (PLUR)
    • Avoid confrontation
    • Love and respect everyone
    • Make everyone feel as part of the tribe
    • Never pass judgment based on someone’s history or appearance
  • Live for the day, “carpe diem”
  • Find positivity regardless of situation
  • Encourage others to do the right thing
  • Approach anything with an open mind
  • Live your beliefs, don’t preach or forcefully convert anyone
  • Sometimes, taking a risk is necessary, to advance
  • Live for yourself
  • Follow your passion
  • Learn as much as you can
  • Help whenever possible, those you love

Entrepreneurial / Managerial Ethics

  • Find ways to improve the work environment, especially for health and well-being purposes
  • Find ways to reduce costs while not impacting team members
  • Never refer to those I manage as employees or other similar; Refer to them as team members
  • Never allow large pay gaps between levels of management and regular team members
  • Never discriminate toward others regardless of how they look, talk, act, walk, or are
  • Never look over your team, work with them
  • Manage in the way you want your team to work

Business Ethics

  • Never have a comfort zone. Be open to all options
  • Be empathetic to co-worker concerns, and a voice of reason
  • Report concerns immediately that could negatively impact the business
  • Be a strong team player, encourage teamwork
  • Find ways to improve the organization
